5th COVID-19 Monitoring and Advocacy Report: 20 May 2020

To date, over 5 million COVID-19 infections have been confirmed to the WHO, with the number of deaths globally currently standing at over 328 000. Zimbabwe has recorded a total of 48 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and a total of 4 deaths as at the 20^th of May 2020 with the cumulative number of tests to date standing at 32862 (18 244 RDT and 14 618 PCR) (MOHCC Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update: 20 May 2020). We also take cognisance of the indefinite extension of the lockdown period through the gazetting of Statutory Instrument 110 of 2020 (Public Health (COVID-19 Prevention, Containment and Treatment) (National Lockdown) (Amendment) Order, 2020 (No.8).
