The Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Righs on Friday July 23, 2021 conducted a #Covid19Zim Antigen Testing Training at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital in Chinhoyi for nurses working at clinics in Makonde District. The training, facilitated by the provincial medical laboratory scientists team, saw 18 nurses working mainly in rural clinics gaining skills to conduct point of care testing of COVID-19.

DISCUSSING SOLUTIONS TO ENDING GBV IN MIDLANDS PROVINCE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Cases of gender-based violence (GBV) increased by 60% in Zimbabwe during the Covid-19-induced lockdown. The Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights in conjunction with Adult Rape Clinic, Young African Leaders Initiative Network and the United States Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program held a community meeting with leaders in Midlands province to discuss solutions to end GBV.

ZADHR DONATES COVID-19 PPE MATERIAL TO THORNGROVE ISOLATION FACILITY IN BULAWAYO

On Friday April 30 2021, the Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights @ZadhrDoctors supported Thorngrove Isolation Facility in Bulawayo with PPE & hygiene material towards the fight against Covid-19. The donation included infrared thermometers, B/50 surgical face masks, reusable face masks, face shields, B/100 latex gloves, medical gowns, gumboots, N95 masks, caps, goggles, sanitisers, handwashing soap, brooms, water buckets, mops, methylated spirit.

On Friday April 24, 2020, the Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) supported Gweru Covid-19 isolation facilities with personal protective equipment and hygiene material towards the fight against Covid-19 in the Midlands capital. Executive director Mr Calvin Fambirai led the ZADHR delegation, while Gweru city health director Dr Samson Sekenhamo received the donation on behalf of the city.
