Zororai Old People’s Home in Mutare got a pre-festive season cheer when ZADHR donated PPE and hygiene material to the institution in support of the fight against COVID-19

ZADHR, ZHRC DONATE TO ZPCS

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission in partnership with ZADHR on Tuesday November 9, 2021 made a donation to the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services to assist in the fight against COVID-19 in detention centres.

The items, which were sourced from ZADHR, included four 5 000-litre water tanks, 4 water pumps and fittings, infra-red thermometers, surgical masks, reusable branded face masks, face shields, boxes of latex gloves, 800 single units of soap and hand sanitisers.

ZADHR salutes the great partnership with the ZHRC.

ZADHR believes engagement and partnership are the future as the organisations seeks to build strong institutions that are responsive to emerging health and human rights challenges. Covid-19 is one such challenge.

The organisation hopes that the support extended to ZPCS through ZHRC will go a long way in enhancing access to water, sanitation and hygiene in prison settings.

The @ZadhrDoctors on Friday October 29, 2021 donated PPE and sundries & hygiene material to Rutendo Home for the Aged and Destitute in Kwekwe as a way of capacitating the institution’s fight against #Covid19Zim.
